The implementation has been a smooth process. ePC have been really helpful throughout the project. They were able to offer advice when designing / planning the eCRF and help us iron out challenges before they became major issues. Their advice has really helped us focus on what data we needed to collect in order to meet trial objectives and regulatory requirements. I highly recommend them to other CTU’s seeking to implement an eForms system.
Monica Haritakis, Clinical Trial Manager, York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
Designing, processing and analysing thousands of questionnaires a year requires an effective and efficient data capture system. TeleForm, provided by ePC, has been the central hub to this system for many years - we could not function without it.
Sue Thrower, RAF Cranwell
Modern workflow technology is going to be extremely important to our business as we strive to standardise and streamline processes across the globe. This has been a very impressive first attempt but the really interesting part now is; what else can we do with this capability?
Chris Broe, Group Chief Information Officer, Rentokil Initial
We were mindful of the CapEx – and product creation – systems ePC had implemented and aware they worked well. In the end, the system had a lot of ticks against it and we did not see the value of going to another supplier when ePC had a box of tricks that worked well for us.
Robert Woods, Finance Manager, Initial
ePC understood what we wanted. On a number of occasions, we described roughly what we would like in terms of capability but not in any great detail. They captured the simplicity of what was required without compromising on functionality.
Nick Taylor, Finance Director, Millennium and Copthorne Hotels Plc

We purchased BP Logix Process Director to replace a home-grown electronic form-and-workflow tool. We have used the tool to automate over 200 processes across our global enterprise, and currently get 30,000+ new form instances submitted in the system each month.
We have used it for a wide variety of processes, including human resources, procurement, accounts payable, engineering, and construction.
The forms and workflows are easy to build, and we have a growing army of business users that are now creating their own forms, with little assistance from the development team. The support team is always quick to help with any issues that we have (which are few). We are extremely satisfied with this application.
Process Director is easy for a non-developer to develop a process from start to finish, yet has the tools a developer needs to develop complex scenarios. Scripting capability with the SDK allows the software to be extended to meet your process when the out of box functionality doesn't fit your use case. Great customer support that goes above and beyond to help solve issues.
When we were evaluating BPM solutions, Process Director was the only demo that actually presented a complete solution for our use case in the RFQ where other industry identified "leaders" in BPM were not flexible enough to provide a solution. Process Director is a perfect fit to solve niche processes in our company that fall outside of our enterprise applications.
York Teaching Hospital had an urgent requirement to replace its paper-based system for Phase III of the FIT (Faecal Immunochemical Test) study.
The clinical trials team decided to move to an electronic data capture (EDC) system to improve data accuracy, reduce administrative burden and speed up data capture.
The EDC system has been implemented quickly and is helping York collect high quality data in accordance with the study protocol.
Following a OJEU tender process, the British Council commissioned Civica as the prime contractor to deliver an on-screen marking (OSM) solution to mark up to 2.25 million ‘pen and paper’ IELTS tests each year.

It’s a phase that has entered our vocabulary in recent weeks as the Government try to re-open the UK economy despite the ever-present threat of COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
Consequently, new office layouts to meet the social distancing rules, staggered start/finish times, more home working and increased cleaning are some of the measures likely to be adopted when we do return to office and embark on the ‘new normal’.
As we prepare to make changes, the need for process automation to support critical business operations has never been clearer.
Are you searching for bespoke or commercial off the shelf (COTS) software to automate paper-based processes such as employee on-boarding, due diligence or Product Information Management?
When evaluating vendors and software, executives and procurement teams will need to consider whether to purchase COTS, bespoke software, or a hybrid model to automate manual processes and better meet their current and future needs.
In this blog, we look at the pros and cons of each option and ask which one is best in 2020?
As Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases continue to rise in the UK, the Government has introduced new measures to prevent the spread of the virus. The measures include travelling for work purposes, but only where you cannot work from home and closing educational settings.
As a result, interest in remote home working has grown since the start of the Pandemic.
In this blog, we provide some guidance on using a Virtual Private Network (VPN) and Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) to access your TeleForm system if you are working from home.
Organisations and the departments within them depend on the efficient movement of information to run their businesses effectively. Inefficient business processes and the manual collection of data can lead to reduced productivity and costly delays.
Consequently, more industries are digitalising their paper forms and moving to web-based eForms to optimise the processing of information.
Business process management, or BPM, is a term that often conjures up images of tremendous complexity and exhaustive effort with months of planning, committees, and meetings.
However, if these hurdles can be overcome, BPM software offers a plethora of benefits to organisations. In this blog, we discuss some of the reasons why business process management is important to organisations.

As an ISO 9001: 2015 accredited organisation, we pay close attention to our procedures. They ensure things run smoothly, consistently and make sure quality is maintained.
However, recent events in the IT world and attitudes within IT departments we come across are making us question whether procedure is, in some cases, being turned into the enemy of good operations?

Last month, we read an article in IT Pro with the headline ‘Failed NHS IT system will cost £7 million to stabilise’. As we read more, it became apparent that 14,600 patient discharge summaries had not been sent to GP's due to an error with a records management system.
As an IT consultancy that works with many NHS Trusts and clinical trial organisations, we found ourselves asking "how did this happen?"
