Escrow

ePC recognises that the solutions that we deliver become relied on components of our clients internal processes. To provide peace of mind that you are protected from any eventuality affecting the continuity of service from ePC and to allow you to follow best practise, we can arrange to have any source code developed by ePC to be stored by our Escrow partner; the NCC Group.

Storing the source code of your system in Escrow means that if a set of agreed circumstances were to arise, whereby ePC is no longer able to support or continue to develop your system for you, the source code would be passed over to you, to do with as you wish.

The set-up fees for this cover us providing you with a legal document that states the terms of the agreement, our commitments for maintaining the source code within Escrow and the release conditions. It also covers us archiving all ePC developed source code for your system on to a CD or DVD and filing this with the 3rd party Escrow company. There is then a yearly fee for keeping this contract running and periodically updating the stored source code.

Their Escrow Solutions are designed specifically to assist organisations which are increasingly dependent on crucial assets which they do not own or control. They hold these crucial assets securely with the supplier's agreement on the end user's behalf, ensuring that if the supplier's business fails or they do not maintain their contractual obligations the material can be accessed and released to the user quickly and legally, leaving them free to carry on without disruption.

Each client is allocated a dedicated account manager who guides them through the Escrow process from advising them on the most appropriate Escrow Solution for their needs to ensuring the necessary paperwork is completed correctly. All material held is 'integrity tested' to ensure it is of the expected type, accessible and free of viruses, and is deposited in two separate secure locations to ensure customers' business continuity. Further levels of much more comprehensive Verification Testing are also available if required.
